Ernest Ebo Jackson is a seasoned technology executive with nearly two decades of experience leading large-scale IT operations, digital transformation, and fintech technology across the telecommunications industry in Ghana and Rwanda. He has built and led high-performing teams across Mobile Financial Services, IT Infrastructure, Core Networks, Billing, Digital Platforms, DevOps, and Enterprise Applications, delivering secure, resilient, and scalable technology platforms that support millions of customers.
He is currently the Head of Information Technology for Telecel Cash at Telecel Ghana, where he leads the technology strategy and operations for the company’s fintech ecosystem. Since assuming the role in 2026, he has been responsible for driving technology modernization, strengthening cybersecurity and governance, enhancing platform reliability, and delivering innovative digital financial services. Prior to this, he served as Senior Manager, IT Operations at Telecel Ghana, where he successfully led mission-critical technology domains including Mobile Money, IT Infrastructure, IN/VAS, Billing, Application Management, Monitoring, and Automation.
Before Telecel, Ernest spent over 13 years with Vodafone Ghana, progressing through several leadership roles from Solutions Architect and Mobile Money Engineer to Manager of IN and Packet Core Networks, Operations Manager, and ultimately Senior Manager, IT Operations. During this period, he led the modernization of core telecom and fintech platforms, consistently achieving high service availability, driving automation initiatives, improving operational efficiency, and delivering strategic technology programs that supported business growth and customer experience. Earlier in his career, he played key technical and operational roles at Millicom (Tigo) Ghana and Tigo Rwanda, contributing to the deployment and evolution of mobile money and intelligent network platforms across multiple markets.
Ernest combines deep technical expertise with strong business leadership, bringing extensive experience in IT strategy, fintech platforms, infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, vendor management, governance, and business continuity.
