Dr. Julius Kwasi Debrah is a Ghanaian statesman, administrator, entrepreneur, and politician with decades of experience in public service, governance, and national development. He currently serves as the Chief of Staff of the Republic of Ghana, overseeing the coordination and administration of government business.
His public service career has included several senior positions, including Chief Executive of the Ghana Tourism Board, Eastern Regional Minister, Greater Accra Regional Minister, and Minister for Local Government and Rural Development. His career in Ghana’s Fourth Republic has also seen him serve under successive presidential administrations.
A key aspect of his record in public service includes his contribution to decentralisation and local governance. During his tenure as Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, he championed the National Sanitation Day, a nationwide initiative focused on environmental hygiene, community participation, and sanitation awareness.
