Bernhard is a seasoned commercial strategist and global technology executive, currently serving as Chief Commercial Officer and Board Member of Fourth-IR. He leads the organization’s global growth strategy, driving sales, partnerships, and customer engagement across Europe, Africa, and the United States. With a strong background in digital services, outsourcing, and enterprise transformation, Bernhard helps organizations unlock new value through technology-enabled operations and emerging talent ecosystems.
He brings more than 20 years of leadership experience, having previously held senior roles at Trestle Group, where he served as COO, as well as consulting positions with Arthur Andersen and engineering roles at Bosch. His expertise spans commercial leadership, business transformation, and building cross-border digital delivery models.
Bernhard is deeply committed to developing digital talent in emerging markets, particularly Ghana, where 4th-IR operates a growing technology hub focused on AI, software development, and digital operations. He frequently collaborates with development partners, universities, and industry stakeholders to expand opportunities for young professionals.
Bernhard holds qualifications from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and the London Business School.
